MarshalCloud accessibility statementWCAG 2.1 AA

WCAG 2.1 AA is the floor we build to, and we measure it. This is a statement of practice, not a certificate: no outside auditor has tested the product.

Statement and measurements dated 1 October 2026: 17 colour pairs (light) and 1 (dark) below AA, each with a written fix.

What we build to

  • Text at 4.5:1 contrast; large text, icons and control edges at 3:1. No text under 12px.
  • A solid 2px orange focus outline on everything you can reach with Tab.
  • Colour never carries meaning alone: a word or an icon sits beside it.
  • Reduced motion honoured: animations freeze and reveals show their final state.

How we check it

  • A script measures every colour pair in the theme; our checks fail if a written ratio drifts.
  • A design lint fails on text under 12px, pale status colours as text, unguarded spinners.
  • A colour-blindness simulation compares status and chart colours.
  • Scripted browser walks at phone, tablet and desktop widths, light and dark.

What does not meet it yet

  • Empty form field borders in the light theme: about 1.4:1, where 3:1 is needed.
  • The orange button on hover (3.91:1) and some orange text on the light grey page (4.14:1).
  • The active-tab underline and two chart colours (light), and a small diagram label (both themes).
